ObjektSynth was a modular software synth inspired by analog modular synthesizers. It was developed on BeOS and later updated for the ZETA operating system. Routing MIDI and audio between ObjektSynth and other BeOS/ZETA applications created a flexible environment for electronic music.Modular ObjektSynth had a fully modular engine. Modules handled MIDI events themselves, so you don't need little helper modules. Some modules were modeled after analog classics, others could only be achieved by a computer.MultitimbralObjektSynth had a flexible multi mode to combine and layer sounds. In the project window, each patch could have its own MIDI sources, channel, and note priority. Patches could be transposed and mapped to a keyboard range. You could even label each patch to help remember what is what. ![]() ObjektSynth did not use dynamic voice allocation. Voices were always running - just like an analog modular synth. Flexible UI In the patch window, you could rearrange and rename modules. Control- or shift-click to view any combination of modules. Show the filter and ADSR panels together to avoid flipping between them. Show just the input/output menus for all modules to set up signal routings. Hide the input/output menus while performing to make more room for controls. It even supported roColor drops to customize the UI colors. |
